Hi there,
Today, I bring you products made with love in the Dominican Republic. Each product symbolizes what I believe to be true: that the culture of travel can be part of your everyday. As a Dominican Republic-born New Yorker, I relied heavily on bodegas and family to bring back my favorite sweets and cafecito from my homeland. With Recuerdos, my goal is to make internationally sourced products more accessible by collaborating with female-founded brands like Moringaia, a farm-to-skin beauty line that’s sustainably made on the Dominican Republic’s northern coast, Poesia Colada, a specialty coffee brand that partners with coffee farms on the island, WASO, a children’s brand with a mission in sustainability and slow-fashion.
As a token of gratitude for your support, I’m giving you 25% off with code LATINX on all the products from our Dominican souvenir collections - this discount will run through Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Miracle Oil
From Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Made with over 500 Moringa seeds in each bottle, this pure formula can be used on your face, body, and hair. The family behind this brand owns the farm from which all the product ingredients come. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the farm, and truly inspiring to witness the positive impact they've made in the region through regenerative farming practices. Over the past year, Miracle Oil has become a fundamental part of my skincare routine, ensuring my skin stays moisturized and healthy. There's a remarkable satisfaction in using products with ingredients that can be traced right back to their source.

Speciality Cafecito Dominicano
Finca Samir, Dominican Republic

My earliest memory of coffee takes me back to moments with my grandmother. She used to prepare a cafecito con leche for me when I was young (probably too young for coffee... haha). You see, coffee holds a profound connection to Dominican culture. It's present from the start of the day, and whenever we host gatherings, it's a constant presence, the drink we share with friends and family to mark special moments and conversations. When it came time to collaborate with brands in the Dominican Republic, I knew it had to be centered around coffee. Poesia Colada invested in direct trade with Dominican farming communities and selected only the finest beans to craft a unique flavor profile specialty coffee. Focusing on both community and excellence, this small-batch coffee brand is woman-owned. We're proud to be the first to introduce it to the United States.
